INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURING SEO

International SEO for Manufacturers

Selling into multiple countries takes more than a translated homepage. I build localised content and technical SEO around how buyers actually search in each market, so you show up for the right terms in the right countries.

8+ years of SEO experience, no obligation.

We rely on referrals and trade shows for international leads. That works, but it doesn’t scale. With international SEO, your website does the prospecting for you around the clock, in every market you sell into.

We’ve translated the site, but we’re still not getting leads. Translation isn’t localisation. I build for search intent and cultural context in each market, so your content actually ranks and converts.

We’re getting international traffic, but none of it’s relevant. Wrong-market traffic usually points to a technical or targeting problem, hreflang, URL structure, or keyword targeting aimed at the wrong audience. I’ll find and fix it.

I bring the same engineering background to international work that I bring to every manufacturing project: copper pipe suppliers, CNC machine manufacturers, aerospace-grade fasteners, precision-milled hydraulic components, aluminium extrusion suppliers. Understanding what you make is half the job, wherever your buyers are.

What you get

Multilingual keyword research

Finding the terms real buyers search in each market, not a direct translation of your English keyword list. Search habits and terminology shift by country.

Localised landing pages

A dedicated page per key market with translated and localised copy, region-specific compliance information, and local trust signals, not one page cloned across every locale.

Technical SEO for multi-market sites

Correct hreflang setup, URL structure, and international sitemaps, the technical foundation that decides whether Google shows the right version of your site to the right country.

Country-specific SEO strategy

A strategy built around the countries you’re actually selling into, the languages they search in, and which products or services to push in each one.

Content interviews with your team

I talk to your engineers, sales reps, and technical leads, then turn that knowledge into content that builds trust with overseas buyers.

FAQ

Questions people ask before we start

What's the difference between international and multilingual SEO?

International SEO targets users in different countries (UK vs US, for example), while multilingual SEO targets users in different languages. Most manufacturers selling overseas need both.

Do we need to translate our whole site?

No. You only need to translate the pages that matter, your homepage, key product pages, and strategic content for each target market. I’ll help you prioritise what to translate.

Can't we just run Google Ads overseas?

You can, and it works, but ads stop the moment you stop paying. SEO builds equity in each market so you’re discoverable long after the ad spend stops. Most manufacturers end up running both.

Will we need a separate website for each country?

No, and in most cases you shouldn’t. A well-structured site using subfolders (yourdomain.com/de/, for example) is easier to manage and better for SEO than separate sites. I’ll guide you based on your setup.

How is this different from your general manufacturing SEO service?

The fundamentals are the same as manufacturing SEO generally, but international work adds hreflang, localisation, and country-specific strategy on top, the parts that trip up most manufacturing sites selling overseas.

How much does this cost?

Expect to invest at least £1,000 a month for work that actually moves rankings across your target markets. Multi-market accounts often run higher, £1,500 to £3,000 a month, depending on how many countries and languages are involved.
