Website content

Most service pages sound like brochures.

I write web copy that ranks for commercial-intent keywords and helps buyers understand why you’re the right choice.

That includes:

• Homepage and service pages
• Product descriptions that go beyond tech specs
• Location-based landing pages
• “About” pages that build trust—not buzzwords
• Category copy that gets your ecommerce site found
Every page is written with your buyer, your brand voice, and your bottom line

Content writing

I write content that not only ranks on Google but actually speaks to your audience.

Blogs, web pages, product descriptions and everything in between — crafted to satisfy search engines without boring your readers to death.

Every piece is optimised with the right keywords and intent, but it’s still human at its core because robots don’t buy things. People do.

Local SEO

If you’re trying to win over your local area, you need more than just a decent website —you need to be found

I specialise in getting businesses to rank in their local markets so your next customer doesn’t have to scroll for days to find you.

From optimising your Google My Business to making sure your NAP (name, address, phone number) is consistent across the web, we’ll brush up your local SEO strategy.

Technical SEO

Technical SEO is like the plumbing of your website. Most people don’t think about it until something breaks.

Slow load times, messy code, broken links — it all adds up, and it’s probably hurting your rankings.

I dive deep into the back-end of your site, fixing all those behind-the-scenes issues that affect how Google sees you. So your site not only looks good but also works flawlessly.

Link building

Not all links are created equal.

If you’re still out there buying bulk backlinks or relying on spammy guest posts, it’s time to rethink your strategy.

I build relationships with high-authority sites that actually move the needle.

These are real, relevant links that Google loves and that improve your authority and rankings. No shortcuts, no shady tactics.

Google Business

Your Google Business profile is your virtual storefront, and if it’s not optimised, you’re leaving money on the table.

I’ll manage your GBP so it shows up when people are searching for exactly what you offer.

From handling reviews to making sure your hours are accurate, I’ll make sure your GBP stands out, bringing more customers right to your door.

A closer look into my SEO process
01
Website audit

Once you request a report, the ball is in my court.

I'll dive deep into your website and run an SEO audit to identify strengths, weaknesses, areas for improvement, and threats.

We'll go through this report in our first meeting.

02
Zoom Call

Next, we'll jump on a 15 to 30-minute call where I introduce myself.

I'll break down the report and gather more intel about your business goals, target audience, current SEO efforts, and challenges.

This is the part where I translate your objectives into a concrete SEO campaign plan.

03
Personalised SEO Proposal

Based on our consultation, I'll draft up a personalised SEO proposal that sums up the deliverables, timelines, and pricing.

Once we're both happy, we formalise the agreement, shake hands and I get to work.

04
Implementation

This is where the work begins.

Armed with fresh insights, I'll roll up my sleeves and start working on your personalised SEO campaign.

Whether we need to fix some nasty broken links or produce more SEO content for your blog, I'll handle all the SEO heavy lifting.

And I'll keep you updated on the progress.

How much does an SEO consultant cost?💰

Hiring an SEO consultant isn’t like buying a pint of milk — the price isn’t the same for everyone. It depends on who you hire, what you need, and how much experience they bring to the table.

In the UK, you’ll usually pay anywhere from £1,000 to £5,000+ per month for quality SEO consultancy.

Some consultants charge hourly, others work on a monthly retainer. In the USA, prices are typically higher, with most consultants starting around $1,500 to $2,000 per month, and scaling well beyond $10,000 for enterprise-level work.

Cheap SEO will cost you more in the long run.

Paying £300 a month for someone to “do SEO” is a fast-track to wasted time.

If you’re serious about growth, you should expect to invest four figures monthly.

Here’s how the market generally breaks down in the UK:

SEO consultant UK — hourly rates (by experience)

Cost per hour (GBP) Experience What you actually get Best for

£150–£250 10–15 years Detailed site overhauls, content strategies that scale, handling tough SEO issues Growing companies in competitive spaces
£250–£350+ 15+ years Big-picture strategy, international SEO, keeping large sites healthy Large brands and enterprise

SEO consultant UK — monthly retainers (typical ranges)

What your SEO consultant should be doing

If you’re paying someone for SEO, they shouldn’t just be sending you vague reports every month. They should be doing work you can see and feel in your business.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • Fixing your website’s health: Making your site faster so it doesn’t lose customers. Cleaning up broken links, duplicate pages, and technical issues that confuse Google.
  • Researching the right keywords: Not the fluff keywords that bring in random visitors, but the ones people type in when they’re ready to buy from a business like yours. Example: “best packaging supplier UK” beats “what is packaging.”
  • Building content with a purpose: Writing service pages, guides, or blog posts that answer your customers’ questions and pull them closer to working with you.
  • Earning you links that count: Reaching out to journalists, industry blogs, or partners so your site gets mentioned on websites that actually have authority. No spammy backlinks that could tank your rankings.
  • Tracking results that matter: Leads, phone calls, orders. Not just “traffic went up.” You should know how SEO is paying off in pounds and pence.
  • Adapting the plan: Google’s rules change all the time. A good consultant isn’t recycling last year’s strategy — they’re testing, tweaking, and keeping you ahead of the competition.

If your SEO consultant isn’t doing these things, they’re not really doing SEO. They’re burning your time and money.

What your SEO consultant shouldn't be doing

Not all SEO is good SEO. If your consultant is doing any of this, it’s a red flag:

  • Promising overnight results: SEO takes time. Anyone telling you they’ll get you “#1 in Google in 30 days” is either lying or planning to cheat the system.

  • Buying cheap backlinks: If they’re paying for hundreds of random links from shady sites, they’re not helping you — they’re setting you up for a penalty.

  • Stuffing your pages with keywords: Google (and your customers) see right through it.

  • Sending you vanity metrics: Traffic, impressions, keyword rankings — fine. But if they never tie it back to leads and sales, what’s the point?

  • Using the same template strategy for every client: Your business isn’t a template. If their “plan” looks like a copy-paste job, you’re just paying for generic work.

  • Disappearing after they send an invoice: An SEO consultant should explain what they’re doing in plain English, not vanish into a black box until next month’s bill.

👉 A good consultant plays the long game, builds your site’s reputation the right way, and keeps you in the loop. A bad one cuts corners, hides behind jargon, and leaves you worse off than when you started.

What your SEO consultant shouldn't be doing

Most businesses should expect to work with an SEO consultant for at least 6–12 months before seeing the full impact.

That’s because it takes time to:

  • Fix all the technical problems Google hates.
  • Create content that answers your customers’ questions.
  • Build authority with links from sites people actually trust.
  • Let Google crawl, index, and move your pages up the ladder.

In the UK, small businesses might work with a consultant for a year to get a steady stream of leads.

Bigger companies in competitive spaces often stick with one for years, treating SEO as an ongoing investment.

In the US, the same applies — though the bigger the market, the longer you’ll want a consultant in your corner.

👉 Here’s the truth: SEO isn’t something you “set and forget.” If you stop, your competitors won’t. Working with a consultant long-term means you keep climbing instead of sliding backwards.
